L'arbre qui sut attendre - Illustrated bookmark

Some trees don't need to justify themselves. This one grows crooked, twisted by the years and the winds. And that's exactly why it holds.

I painted it in watercolour and ink. Now it has become a bookmark, a fragment of the studio to keep you company between two pages.

Slip it into your book. It knows how to do one thing: hold your place, without a sound.

Mon âme avait besoin d'un arbre, d'un silence et d'une page où disparaître un instant.
(My soul needed a tree, a silence and a page to disappear into for a moment.)
