This bench is not waiting for me by chance. It's waiting for me.

It has been there for a long time, under this tree that has seen it all. The seasons. The silences. The people who passed by without stopping.

I, I stop.

No need to go far to escape. Sometimes all it takes is a bench, a tree, and the decision that time can slow down.

That's what this painting gives me. A place to put something heavy down. Without explanation. Without reason. Just because the bench is there, and the tree doesn't judge.
